Since I first began painting in 1970, my medium
was mainly oils, but after one of my best paintings of the Mayan ruins in Tulum fell face first in the sand, I decided to
take up watercolors. As you can see, my first attempts (left) were rather amateurish, but by 1991 (right) I had improved
a bit.
Much of this work was done in my studio classes. Of course, I'm only gonna show
you the best ones! I especially liked these two nudes. I'm a color freak and just love lots of vivid colors.
This was my final project for last semester's painting class. I had to do it mostly
from memory because the weather was so nasty last spring and it's really hard to paint at night. This was the view from my
front porch (I've since moved and have an even better view!) This painting measures 4' x 2' .
